Merry Christmas to you! (Psalm 118:17)

Christmas is most meaningful to me. This is the time when I celebrate my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I celebrate Him because He has saved me from Hell to Heaven. I was a sinner who was on my way to death and Hell. He, Jesus Christ has been sent from Heaven by Father God to die on the Cross for my sins so that I, who believe in Him receive eternal abundant life and Heaven. Such a love, forgiveness and amazing grace! I can never ever forget that. My salvation in Christ, my new birth in Him occurred in a Christmas season.

This happened in the beautiful tropical island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean where I was born and raised. I grew up in a multicultural, multilingual and multi-religious environment. I went to a Roman Catholic school where I heard about Jesus and the biblical stories. I got christened and attended the Sunday mass. As I grew up in my teen, I began to have more and more questions about life and death, Hell and Heaven, God and Satan… I wondered about the meaning and purpose of life, the evil in the world… I tried to find the answers through religious, philosophical, and psychological books… I also tried social work, and asking questions to priests and to social leaders. I was searching for the Truth and True Happiness in vain. I was experiencing inner conflicts in my heart.

One day after school, I decided to go inside a church to meditate. I sat down quietly upon a bench by myself. I prayed to God something like: “God, if You truly exist, please reveal Yourself to me. I want to know You and I want to know how to live.” I was sincere and wanted to live sincerely in the Truth no matter the implications and consequences. I just could not live outside of the Truth, or without the Truth.

Soon after, I heard about a group coming from South Africa called ‘Youth for Christ’. They were going to have a free live show in the town hall. I felt like going to check it out. I went and heard beautiful songs and Christian testimonies. I was touched and did stand up at the end of the presentation when a call was made. My name was written down and I got a visit in my home later. However, I was still not very clear in my mind and did not attend any of their church meetings. I was not yet fully grounded and established in my Christian faith. I was still carrying on with my personal investigation and search of the Truth…

In the meantime, I went partying and lived a life of pleasure…until a year later, when I heard about a Youth Christian group that was meeting in the North of the Island. My younger sister and her friends had been attending and came back home very excited. My curiosity was aroused and as soon as I was invited to attend, I went. I was touched by the welcome, friendliness, joy, songs, and above all the message of the Gospel. The elderly missionary preacher quoted John 14:6, where Jesus declared: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me”. I was struck and challenged by this unique declaration. I had only two options: to believe it or not. I just could not ignore it now.
The Holy Spirit who has led and brought me to this point in my life overcame me. I would soon decide to believe and follow Jesus Christ for the rest of my life-No turning back, no matter what. It was in the Christmas time when I knelt down, repented, confessed my sins, received Jesus Christ by faith in my heart, and committed myself totally to live for Him, for God. This has been the greatest decision that I ever made in my entire life. Thanks, Praise, Honor, and Glory to God!

Christmas is the time when we commemorate and celebrate the Incarnation of Our Lord Jesus. He left His glory in Heaven to come down in the form of a human babe born of the Virgin Mary as stated in Luke 2:11-12. Wow! What a Mighty God we serve! He humbled Himself to that extent to reach out to you and me, to us because we could never reach up to Him on our own. He had to come down to us. O what a Savior! I love Him so much. He has loved me first and even died for me!... and you too.

Merry Christmas!

Born Once, Die Twice; Born Twice, Die Once

Everyone of us was once born into this world, some earlier, others later. Through this physical birth, we got into our blood family.

The Bible declares that we are all born sinners (Romans 3:23). We all inherited the sinful nature through the Fall of our very first parents Adam and Eve (Genesis 3). Living our lives through this sinful nature of ours results in death and Hell as our eternal destiny (Romans 6:23).

So, how can we be saved from death and Hell unto eternal abundant Life and Heaven? How?

The Bible, in John 3:3 and 7 tell us how. Jesus Christ said that we must be born again to see the Kingdom of God, to be saved, to inherit eternal life and Heaven. Now, what is "born again"? How can one be born again?

First of all, this second birth is not a physical birth, but a spiritual one. This spiritual birth will make one get into God's Family just like the physical birth gets us into our physical blood family. We become a member of our physical blood family through our physical birth and we get into Our God's Family through our spiritual birth. Now, how does this spiritual birth, this born again experience occur in a person's life?

The answer is given in the most popular verse of the Bible, John 3:16:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Therefore, we have to believe in the Son of God Jesus Christ to be born again and be part of God's Family. This is the way, the only way for us to be saved from death and Hell unto eternal life and Heaven. If we do not believe in Jesus Christ, if we reject the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we will perish instead of having everlasting life.

John 3:36 declares

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.

Hebrews 12:29 says:

Our God is a consuming fire. In the Good News version, it says, Our God is a destroying fire.

So, we got to be very careful not to neglect God's call. We must obey His call to repent from our sins and decide to follow Him.

Revelation 20:11-15 say (NIV)
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
The verse 14 talks about the lake of fire or Hell as the second death. This second death, verse 15 declares, is for anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. None of us wants that, neither for our own selves nor for our children, parents, brothers and sisters and loved ones... Then, we must believe in Jesus Christ and obey Him and follow Him without any delay, for the rest of our lives. By the way, our lives are not ours. They are our Creator God's who created all of us through our respective parents.
Revelation 21: 8 declares:
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
In conclusion, we can see that if we are born only once (physically), and never got born again (spiritually), we will die first the physical death and then the second death-cast into the lake of fire or burning Hell. Born once, die twice. But, if we are born twice, that is physically and then spiritually, we will not have to die the second death in the lake of fire, in Hell. We will die just once, the physical death only. This physical death is our entrance into Heaven. So, born twice, die once.
Which one do you choose, now?
One birth or two births? I cannot choose my first birth, the physical birth. My parents brought me into this world without my choosing. In fact, God brought me into this world through my parents; the same for each one of you. However, I cried out to God to save me. I called upon Jesus after I had heard the Gospel of Salvation. When I heard that Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life, I decided to believe in Christ Jesus as My Lord and My Savior and He saved me. I was born again. Are you? If you are, Praise God! If you are not, cry out to Him now and He will save you from death and Hell to eternal abundant life and Heaven. Yes, Heaven will be your eternal destiny. Do you want it? Call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved, you and your family (Acts 16:31).
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Behold, the Lamb of God!

Sunday October 27, 2013

Behold, the Lamb of God!

John 1:29, 36

I read the following story somewhere:

A tourist visited a church in Germany. He was surprised to see the carved figure of a lamb near the top of the church’s tower. He asked why was it there. He was told that when the church was being built, a workman fell from a high scaffold. His coworkers rushed down, expecting to find him dead, but, to their surprise and joy, he was alive and only slightly injured.

How did he survive?

A flock of sheep was passing beneath the tower at the time, and the workman landed on top of a lamb. The lamb broke the workman’s fall and it was crushed to death, but the man was saved.

To commemorate this miraculous escape, someone carved a lamb on the tower at the exact height from which the workman fell.

In our Bible passage this morning, John the Baptist described Jesus Christ as “the Lamb of God”. This expression “Lamb of God” may sound strange to the average 21st century person but not to the First Century Jew. To the First Century Jew in the time of John the Baptist, the expression “Lamb of God” would bring to mind the “Passover Lamb”

What is Passover?

Passover was an annual celebration, when the Jews remembered how God had delivered them from the bondage of slavery in Egypt. The story is found in God’s Word in the book of Exodus.

Round about 1500 B.C, God called Moses to lead His people out of Egypt. But Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let them go. So, God sent 10 plagues on the Egyptians.

At Passover, the Jews remembered the tenth plague in particular. The tenth plague was when God sent the Angel of Death to destroy all the first-born in the land of Egypt. However, the Angel of Death passed over (from which we get the word PASSOVER) those Jewish households where the blood of a lamb had been sprinkled on the tops and sides of the doorframe of the house.

In every household in Egypt that night, there was either a dead lamb or a dead firstborn.

It was only after this 10th plague that Pharaoh finally yielded to Moses. He finally allowed God’s people, the Jews, to leave Egypt.

God commanded His people to celebrate this act of liberation and salvation from Egypt by holding a festival every year. This festival was called the ‘Feast of Passover’. In that ‘Feast of Passover’, every Jewish household was to sacrifice a one-year old male lamb without defect or blemish. This lamb was known as the ‘Passover lamb’

So, when John the Baptist saw Jesus Christ and cried out,

“Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world”, what did he mean?

First of all, ‘Behold’ is not just look-a quick look, a glance like you glance at your watch…no…’Behold’ is to take a long look, a long viewing to admire, to contemplate, to stand in awe and to reflect upon. I dare say, in this context, to worship and adore Christ, the Lamb of God!

The lamb is an innocent pure animal. Jesus Christ was completely innocent, pure and holy. He committed no sin at all. He was guiltless and sinless.

In our last sermon last time, we saw Jesus is the Living Word of God, the Creator of the whole universe, the Life and the Light of the world.

Yes, Jesus Christ is absolutely God made flesh. He is actually God-Man and Man-God, Son of God and Son of Man. He is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. The whole creation points to Him and the whole Bible, from the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation point to Him.

The lamb was an innocent sacrifice, whose shed blood protected the Jews against Death on that fatal night in Egypt. Jesus Christ Is the Lamb of God! He was God’s Sacrifice for us. That was what John the Baptist was also drawing attention to.

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away their sin of the world.”

In Isaiah 53, we read in verses 5-8

5 He (Jesus Christ) was pierced because of our transgressions,

Crushed because of our iniquities;

Punishment for our peace was on Him,

And we are healed by His wounds

6 We all went astray like sheep;

We all have turned to our own way;

And the Lord has punished Him

For the iniquity of us all

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,

Yet He did not open His mouth.

Like a lamb led to the slaughter

And like a sheep silent

Before her shearers,

He did not open His mouth.

8 He was taken away because of oppression and judgment;

And who considered His fate?

So, what now?

Now, I ask you, dear ones,

Will you consider Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world? your sins and mine? Will you behold Him?

He, God made flesh, to sacrifice Himself on the Cross, to die for you and me, for our sins, to save us from spiritual death and Hell!

I Peter 1:18-19 declare

18 For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things, like silver or gold,

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.

Are you willing to be like Jesus, the Lamb of God?

Will you sacrifice yourself for others' good? To save others from an eternity in hell!

Will you share the Good News of the Gospel of salvation to your lost family members, friends, colleagues, neighbors…

Will you love God and each other as Christ loved you?

Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ came down from Heaven as the Lamb of God, as Savior of Humankind. Soon, He will be coming back, as He promised, not as Savior then, not as the lamb to be slain again, but as the Lion of Judah, the Holy judge of Humanity.

Are you ready? Will you be ready?

Let’s pray…

Hell, The Cross, and Heaven

Dear Reader,

What comes to your mind when you think of Hell? The Cross? and Heaven?

Personally, I would not know about Hell, the Cross, and Heaven had they not been told to me by others. I now know that these realities are found in the Bible, which is the Word of God. So, I got to believe in them. Therefore, when I think of Hell, I see:

-Everlasting punishment and torment in an eternal burning fire
-Total eternal separation from God

When I think of the Cross, I see:

-Jesus Christ, the Savior
-Salvation
-God's Sacrifice
-God's amazing love for us, sinners
-Man's terrible depravity and sinfulness
-Satan's hatefulness
-Satan's wickedness
-Jesus' obedience to His Father God
-Jesus' pure innocence
-Jesus' meekness and humility
-God's Mercy over us
-God's Grace unto us
-The Bridge between Hell and Heaven
-The Bridge between sinful Man and God
-Our wise God's victory over the devil/Satan

And when I think of Heaven, I see:

-God
-Jesus Christ
-Holy Spirit
-Angels
-Saints
-Perfectness
-Beauty
-Peace
-Agape love
-Appreciation
-Admiration
-Joy
-Perfect Praise
-Adoration
-Worship
-Wonders
-Abundance
-Eternal bliss and felicity
-Unity
-Harmony
-Oneness
-Purity
-Holiness
-Nobility
-Wisdom
-Ecstasy
-Light
-Life
-Knowledge
-Truth
-Humility
-Patience
-Gentleness
-Meekness
-Understanding
-Mutual Enjoyment

O Hallelujah! Praise, Honor, and Glory be to Our Most Wonderful Awesome God!

I know, dear Reader, you'd choose Heaven over Hell. Choose Jesus. Decide to follow Him and you shall be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Yes, Jesus is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life! (John 14:6). No one can go Heaven except through Him. Choose to believe in Christ Jesus and you will spend eternity in Heaven, not hell. So be it! Amen.

Our Big Problem as Humankind

Dear Friend,

I submit to you that our real problem is we do not truly recognize and accept Jesus Christ as God Himself, as the Second Person of the Holy Trinity. We put Him down by relegating Him to one of the many great revolutionaries, or teachers, or religious leaders, or prophets, or philosophers. This is simply not right. The Bible which is the Word of God is very clear about this. Look at John’s Gospel, for example. It says there in John 20:31,
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

John 14:6 says,
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:12 declares,
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Philippians 2:9-11,
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
All kinds of evidence and proof, whether archaeological or scientific or historical or otherwise have already been given to Humanity and the world about the reliability and veracity of the Holy Bible as the True Word of God and Jesus Christ as a truly historical person who did live and walk on this earth for some thirty-three and a half years before being crucified most cruelly and unjustly. On the third day, He rose again, appeared to hundreds and hundreds of His disciples in a span of forty days before He ascended back to Heaven, to His Father God, where He was originally since the beginning of beginnings (John 1)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

The Resurrection itself should be more than enough evidence to demonstrate that Jesus Christ is indeed who He declared He was: The Son of God. Who can be compared to the Lord Jesus Christ? I do not see anyone. No, not one! No, not one!
Dear Friend,

We must be truthful and sincere and honest. We must be ready to forsake everything that does not uphold the Truth. We must humbly repent if we have been led into lies and deceit and falsehood. We must welcome the Light and receive the Enlightenment with gladness and gratitude. God will bless us if we do so. Things at all levels will be transformed for the better for everyone, the family, the community, the nation, and the entire world. We need to accept and follow the plain Truth wherever it leads us. No regret and no turning back. Following God is the highest noblest thing we will ever do as a human being. Obeying God is right! Not just any god though, but the True Living God of the Bible only!

I challenge everyone, no matter who and where you are, to believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, receive Him in your heart, obey His Word and follow Him in your daily living. You will surely see the difference that it will make to your life and of those around you and of the world at large.
God bless you. Amen.

Who Is Jesus Christ? (John 1:1-5)

Who Is Jesus Christ ?

Introduction to John’s Gospel

Today, it is September 15th, 2013. Yesterday it was September 14th, 2013. The day before yesterday, it was September 13th. If we keep going, we'll get to last year..., last decade, your date of birth,...your parents' date of birth..., your grand-parents'..., your great-grandparents'..., your greatgreatgrandparents'..., until we get to the very first parents...who were created by God in the beginning of Time.-Genesis 1:1

Genesis 1:1

In that beginning of Time, God created the heavens and the earth. Then He created the plants and animals and finally Man and Woman. The First Man and Woman were called Adam and Eve. Everything was good and perfect... until one day they disobeyed God and sinned. This story is found in the first book of the Bible: Genesis chapters 1 to 3. Our very very first parents Adam and Eve would then naturally pass on their sinful nature to every newborn human being down each and every new generation even until ourselves today. Yes, we are all born sinners (Romans 3:23), declare the Bible, the Word of God! And the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23a). Everyone of us is born to die one day and headed to Hell because of our sinful nature...
Now, how can we be rescued from this predicament? Is there any way to change our sinful nature which desires to sin into a nature that desires to please Our Creator God? How can we find this solution? Where is it found? Well, Praise God, He Himself has the solution and it is found in His Word, the Bible. The Solution is not a thing but a Person. His Name is Jesus Christ. The second part of Romans 6:23 says:"...the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus Our Lord."
Now, who is Christ Jesus? Who is He really? Let us get to know Him through studying God's Word, the Bible, which tells us about who Jesus Christ is. Can you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God? Do you believe it? John 3:36 says that we must believe this, if we are to receive eternal life, be rescued from death to life, from Hell to Heaven.
You may need some help to enable you to believe that Jesus Christ is really the Son of God. Well, the required help is here, in the Bible. It is the Gospel of John.

John 20:30-31. This Gospel had been written by Apostle John so that you and I may believe that Jesus is indeed the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you and I may have eternal life.

John 1: 1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 1:1 is even before the beginning of Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

The Word=logos-Greek

                   Tao-Chinese

Who is The Word?

and the Word was with God

Word and God are separate, two beings

With, not in

and The Word was God.

Word=God

God with God

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Two beings/Two persons

In the beginning

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

All things were made by him

The Word is God

The Word is the Creator of everything

and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Without Him, was not any thing made that was made

He is the Sovereign Creator- together with God!

Can we separate the two persons? Yes and No. They are same and different at the same time like water and ice or water and vapor

Who are these two Gods? Two persons? In one?

Answer: Father God and Son of God

KEY DOCTRINE

One God; Three Persons

There is one and only one living and true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

What is the Name of the Son of God?

Alpha and Omega (See Rev 1:8; 22:13) -The Beginning and the End

Rev 22:12, 13, 20

V12 Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what He has done.

V13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End

V20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Rev 1:1-2 The Book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ, the testimony of Jesus Christ

See John 1:14,17

So, Jesus Christ is the Word

The Word= The Bible=The Living Word=Jesus

The Book of the Bible is actually not just one Book. It is a collection of books. Do you know how many books make up the Bible? How many books are there in the Bible? Yes, 66. 39 in the OT and 27 in the NT.

But, each and every one of the 66 books of the Bible point to Jesus Christ. The whole Bible, from beginning to end, is really about the Lord Jesus Christ!

In Genesis, Jesus Christ is The Seed (Genesis 3:15),
In Exodus, Our Passover Lamb
In Leviticus, Our High Priest
In Numbers, The Presence of God
In Deuteronomy: The Law
In Joshua: Our Victory
In Judges: The Righteous Judge
In Ruth: Our Kinsman Redeemer
In I Samuel: Our Prophet
In II Samuel: Our Deliverer
In Kings & Chronicles: Our Record Books
In Ezra: Our Faithful Scribe
In Nehemiah: Our Restorer & Rebuilder

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

In Christ Jesus was Life (zoe)! In Greek, the original language of the NT, it is zoe-divine life (v/s bios (biology)and psuche (psychology)) and it implies both the physical life and the spiritual life. Death cannot hold Jesus Christ. He has overcome death. He has conquered over it! Kill Him. Crucify Him. He rose again on the Third Day!

and the life was the light of men.

His Life, Jesus Christ’s Life (spiritual life) was the Light of men. Light overcomes darkness. Light overcomes fear and sins…

Light reveals the beauty around that was hidden by darkness. Darkness represents evil and the cover for evil deeds.

Light shows the way to go and not be lost

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The darkness cannot comprehend Light. It cannot match it. On the contrary, it is totally subdued by Light. Darkness flees away when Light comes. Light is overwhelmingly more powerful than darkness. Darkness can never extinguish light. Light always overcomes darkness. Jesus Christ is the Light of men. He Is the Light of the world.

The Gospel of John had been written by Apostle John so that you and I may believe that Jesus is indeed the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you and I may have eternal life (John 20:30-31). If you receive Christ Jesus in your heart, you receive His zoe life, His divine life in you. You get born again. You inherit the eternal abundant life. Amen.

The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;

The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. Amen. Numbers 6:24-26

The implications of Jesus Christ's Conquest over the world

In John 16:33, Jesus declared His Victory over the world. He exhorted us to be courageous as He, Our Master, has already conquered the world.

This means that He, as the Son of Man, has conquered over all temptations of the flesh and the world, sins, death, Satan, and Hell.

If we abide in Him and remain in His Word, we, as His disciples, will also conquer over the world. We will be experiencing the eternal abundant life that Christ gives us freely (John 10:10). His Peace that surpasses understanding will indwell us (John 14:27).

And the best is yet to come. Eventually, we will be living in eternal bliss and felicity with Our Lord and His angels and all the saints in Majestic Heaven forever and ever...and evermore...Amen

What is the greatest fight we are to fight in our lives?

What is the greatest fight we are to fight in this life, whether as an individual or a family or a church or a community or a nation or as the international community of nations or simply, as the human race?

It is not what you and I may think. It is not a physical fight  against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). This is what God, Our Creator, Our Lord and Savior instructs us in His Holy Word, the Bible. God says "Fight the Good Fight of Faith" in I Timothy 1:18.

This Fight of Faith is fighting against Satan, our common enemy and against sin. Again, it is not a physical warfare. It is a spiritual warfare. We are to fight against the principalities and powers of the air. We, by ourselves, are nothing and can do nothing (John 15:5). So, we need to battle and fight, not in our own names but in the Name of Our Lord God, the Almighty One. He gives us the victory. He is the One who makes us more than conquerors (Romans 8:37) over the flesh, temptations, the world, death, Satan and sin. We need to wear the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11) to fight in God's Army over the enemies of our souls, the devil, demons, and evil spirits. Our armor is the Truth, Righteousness, the Gospel of Peace, Faith, Salvation, the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, and prayers in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:14-18).

Our fight is a fight against lies and deceit, against impurity and immorality, against violence and crime, against sickness and disease, poverty and death, against corruption and injustice, against illiteracy and ignorance, against exploitation and abuse, against all kinds of sins.

Our fight is a fight for the Truth, for purity and morality, for peace, for health and prosperity, for justice, for education and liberation, for Freedom and Joy in Christ to the praise, honor and glory of Our Good God.

This is where we should be spending our limited time on planet Earth, with the energy, knowledge, skills, talents, and resources that God has freely given us, not otherwise.

Be careful and vigilant, brother and sister-in-Christ! Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith (I Peter 5: 8-9).

God bless you.

Be Saved before it's too late!

Here is my understanding of the True Biblical Gospel:

We are all condemned to Hell IF we do not repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Son of God come in the flesh, crucified on the Cross for our sins, rose again in bodily form on the Third Day, ascended to Heaven, and is coming back.

If we do repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Savior AND obey His Word throughout our lives, we will be received into Heaven by Our God.

The choice is really ours to make.

Be aware that in this fallen world, there are definitely all kinds of temptations, evil spirits, and forces of darkness that will try all they can to dissuade someone to make the right choice of becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.

However, those who did make the right choice of calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy and grace can testify to the beauty and wonders of their salvation in Christ leading them to eternal abundant life culminating in Heaven throughout eternity.

The Way, and the Truth, and the Life

Jesus Christ declared in John 14:6 that He is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life...

He is the Way to

-Heaven/Paradise
-Father God
-True Freedom
-True Happiness
-The Truth and
-The Eternal Abundant Life!
-Everlasting Bliss and Felicity

He Himself said that the truth will set us free (John 8:32), And He is The Truth Himself!

If we truly walk faithfully with Jesus Christ as Our Lord, He will set us free from

-Sin
-Evil spirits
-Curses
-Addictions
-Idolatry
-Slavery
-Ignorance
-Poverty
-Immorality
-Oppression
-Depression
-Impurity
-Desires of the flesh
-Jealousy
-Covetousness
-Death and
-Hell

O! What a Savior we have!

The Lord Jesus Christ also declared that He is the Resurrection and the Life! (John 11:25). He raised others, like Lazarus, from death and He Himself rose from death on the third Day after His Crucifixion! Death cannot hold Him. He is indeed LIFE!

In Christ Jesus, Our Lord, we inherit His eternal abundant life. O Hallelujah! The New Life that He gives us is a life of

-Peace
-Joy
-Love
-Purity
-Holiness
-Humility
-Agape
-Beauty
-Gentleness
-Truth
-Knowledge
-Wisdom
-Health
-Prosperity
-Abundance
-Wonders
-Grace
-Favor
-Blessings

O yes, what a blessed life we enjoy in Jesus the Christ!

He is the Only One who can truly fulfill our inner heart's longings and dreams forever and ever! Amen.

What happens when you get born again?

In John 3:3 and 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus that he must be born again to enter the kingdom of God. To be born again is to repent of one's heart attitude of self-centeredness and to call upon, that is, to pray to God, to confess one's sins, and to invite Jesus Christ into one's heart as Lord and Savior. It is to decide to revere and obey God throughout one's life.

What happens inside the person who is born again?

The person becomes a totally new creation. The old has passed away and the new has come (II Corinthians 5:17). He or she has got a total transformation inside out. It is a literally new birth, not physically, but spiritually.

The born-again individual is a new Christian. He has now got new

-Family: God's Family
-Brothers and sisters-in-Christ
-Motivation
-Desires
-Destination and Destiny: Heaven
-Goal and purpose in his or her earthly life: to make disciples of Christ of all nations and people groups
-Interests: to please, obey, love and honor God; to love others

What a blessing to be born again in Christ Jesus, the Lord!

To my nephews, nieces, and students

You were born one day. You grew up. Before you have completed your life on earth, you need to find the correct answers to the following questions if you want to live in accordance to God's Plan and Purpose for you:

Who am I?
Who is God?
What does He want me to be and to do?

All the answers are found in God's Word, the Bible. So, you must read it to obey and apply it. Then, you will be truly prosperous and successful wherever you are (Joshua 1:7-8).

I can testify that this is indeed my story and testimony. As I grew up, I had asked myself all these above questions. And Thank God, He helped me through the right circumstances, people, and resources to find Him and to taste how good He is. I was lost and found, was blind and saw. Yes, My God saved me from death and Hell unto eternal abundant life and Heaven through My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Praise Him now and forevermore. Amen. Glory to God.

You can be saved too if you are not yet, by trusting in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died for your sins on the cross and rose again on the Third Day. He is alive now and will come back again some day for His disciples (John 3:16; 14:6; Rev 22;12, 20)

God bless you, dear ones!

What is to live a true Christian lifestyle?

I understand that to live a true Christian lifestyle is more about character than anything else. It is certainly not about showmanship. I don't think that the more a Christian appears on the media and is more popular, the more Christian he or she is. And I don't think that the materially richer Christian is a better Christian than the less wealthy one. It is not a matter of money or fame or signs and wonders, of spiritual gifts like speaking in tongues, etc... I believe it is more about the beauty of CHARACTER, that is qualities and virtues like:

Holiness, humility, agape love, integrity, honesty, truthfulness, gentleness, respectfulness, righteousness, purity, morality, faithfulness, compassion, mercy, grace, fidelity, understanding, meekness, wisdom, faith, submission, obedience, discipline, diligence, excellence, peace, joy, unity and harmony.

Yes, it is being a truly godly character that counts. It is about bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23; I Corinthians 13:4-8) wherever you are - home, workplace, church, malls, in any public place, in fact, everywhere to the praise, honor and glory of Our Almighty God. Yes, I would say the more Christlike you are in your character, the more Christian you are. And blessed are you! Truly blessed! Amen.

What is the Gospel?

First, let us say that the Gospel is not that complicated. Before we state what we understand the Gospel IS, let us say what the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is NOT about:

It is not about

-Acquiring material wealth and riches
-Bible knowledge
-Cultures
-Doctrines or Do's and Don'ts
-Elevating oneself
-Fun, fun, and more fun
-Gratification of one's flesh
-Health and Prosperity
-Idols and images
-Judging others
-Killing sinners
-Laws
-Mass gatherings
-Name and Fame
-Orders and rituals
-Politics
-Quizzes and knowledge
-Religious rites
-Self-aggrandizement and elevation
-Theology and theses
-Universalism and blind tolerance
-Views and preferences
-Wonders and Wealth
-Xclusion and Isolation
-You and yours
-Zealotousness

Now, let us summarize our understanding of the Gospel. It is simply the GOOD NEWS that

JESUS CHRIST who is God made flesh, born of the virgin Mary, lived on earth 2000 years ago. He was crucified for you and me, for our sins. He rose again on the Third Day, appeared to His disciples, ascended into Heaven, sent down the Holy Spirit to His disciples. He will come again for His followers, His Church.

To become a follower of Christ, a Christian, one must be called by God. The person will then find himself or herself repenting, believing and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He/She must then decide to obey and follow Christ for the rest of his/her life.

To follow Christ means simply to choose always to LOVE GOD AND ONE ANOTHER EVEN SACRIFICIALLY UNTO DEATH, IF NECESSARY.

Who should we admire?

First of all, we are to love, worship and adore the Triune God, the Holy Trinity: Father, Son Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit now and forever. He is the God of the Holy Bible.

Secondly, we are to admire God's true followers- all those who truly love, worship and adore God. They are those brethren and servants of God who will stay faithful to God and His Holy Word. They will not compromise with the devil. They will stick to the pure Word of God without any adulteration. They will be careful and cautious not to receive any false doctrine but they will themselves always try to teach the whole truth of the Word without any compromise. They will be bold and courageous to do so anywhere. May God bless them all.

May God's special blessings be upon the martyrs of God!

Dear Brothers and Sisters who suffer persecution, remember that Our God will not forget to reward you most abundantly in due time. Keep strong in Him; persevere patiently. Never yield to the evil one and any of his temptations. Hold firm. We thank God for you!

Eventual complete restoration in Christ Jesus will occur in Our God's perfect time according to His Sovereign Plan. Praise The Lord! Hallelujah!

The Day of Our Lord is coming!

Dear Friend,

The Day of Our Lord is coming! See what is happening in our world:

-More and more immorality.
-More and more rebellion against the authorities.
-More and more open defiance and rebellion against God and His Truth and His Standards.
-More and more calamities, disasters, and havoc around the world.
-More and more wars and rumors of wars do we hear.
-The establishment and continual growth of the nation of Israel since May 1948, when the scattered Jews were gathered again after centuries of dispersion.
-The spreading of the Good News of the Gospel worldwide to every nation, tribe and people group.

Hallelujah! Let's look up, brother! Let's look up, sister! Our full redemption is drawing nearer and nearer! Amen.

Dear Friend,

If you are not yet a born-again Christian (John 3:3), we trust and pray that you will:

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, before it is too late.

John 3:16 says: " For God so loved the world (that includes you) that He gave His only begotten Son (that is Jesus Christ) so that whoever (you) believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"

In John 14:6, Jesus Christ said, " I am The Way, The Truth and The Life. No man (includes woman, boy and girl) comes to the Father (God) except through Me"

No one else has ever made such a claim. No, not one. Either Jesus Christ is a liar or a mad man or He is really and truly who He claimed to be. The choice is yours to make. As for us, we have decided to believe in and follow Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Savior. Never ever have we regretted our decision.

May God bless you as you make the right choice of opening your heart and receiving Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior too!

The Day of Our Lord is coming!

The best Life

The best life is the Christlike life. It is a life that is lived according to God's Word, the Bible. It is a life that is lived according to biblical values, which are among others:

1. Love God with our whole hearts, souls, minds, and strength.
2. Love one another as Christ loved us sacrificially unto death.
3. Make Christian disciples of all nations.
4. Respect and honor Marriage between a  man and a woman, established by God Himself between Adam and Eve.
5. No premarital and extra-marital sex. Sex is blessed within the proper husband-wife relationship, not otherwise.
6. Respect and honor the family institution, established by God Himself.
7. Husbands must love their wives.
8. Wives must respect and submit to their husbands.
9. Children are to obey their parents.
10. Parents must not provoke their children.
11.Agape love and unity must prevail in marriage, family, and church.
12. Repentance, Confession and Forgiveness must be practiced among family members, brothers and sisters in Christ.
13. Whatever we do, we must do to the glory of God.
14. We must always seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.
15. Pray, thank, and rejoice always in Christ Jesus Our Lord.
16. Have absolute trust and faith in Almighty God.
17. Preach the Word in season and out of season-at all times.
18. Never disobey God. Always obey Him, no matter what, where, and when.
19. Reject all evil and sin.
20. Resist the devil and he will flee from us.

Hallelujah! Praise Our God! Amen.

My Lord, My Lord, how I worship and adore You!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16

When Father God said to His Son, Jesus Christ: " I love the world so much that I am sending You, My dearest Son on mission to save the world of sinners...", the Son of God could have any one of those excuses not to come down to us, sinners:

Jesus could have said:

-They will not believe Me
-They will not like Me
-They will hate Me
-They will reject Me
-They will oppose Me
-They will accuse Me wrongly and falsely
-They will curse Me
-They will misjudge Me
-They will betray Me
-They will plot against Me
-They will dishonor Me and You, Father
-They will kill Me, crucifying Me on the cross

But He did not say any of these excuses, for your sake and mine!

Jesus Christ could have said to His Father God that it is not worth it, that the world is too rebellious against Him.

But He did not say that, for your sake and mine!

Our Lord and Savior rather humbly and sacrificially left His majestic comfort in Heaven to come down for you and me, to save us from death and Hell unto eternal abundant life and Heaven.

Brothers and sisters,

"Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus,
who, existing in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God
as something to be used
for His own advantage.
Instead He emptied Himself by assuming
the form of a slave,
taking on the likeness of men.
And when He had come as a man
in His external form,
He humbled Himself
by becoming obedient
to the point of death-even to death on a cross"

(Ref: Philippians 2:5-8)

O Lord, My Lord, how I worship and adore You... Thank You, Thank You for loving me unconditionally, even unto death on the Cross!
