Agape

We are to agape God and each other (Mark 12:30-31). What is to agape ?

First, to agape God is to

-love Him
-worship Him
-adore Him
-praise Him
-respect Him
-revere Him
-honor Him
-glorify Him
-obey Him
-follow Him
-commit oneself to Him
-yield to Him
-surrender to Him
-believe in Him
-trust Him
-have faith in Him
-live for Him
-die for Him
-be faithful to Him
-seek His Kingdom and His Righteousness
-share His agape to others
-share His Good News of the Gospel to others
-make disciples of Christ
-be thankful and grateful to Him
-rejoice in Him
-look forward to His Return
-wait upon Him
-look forward to spend eternity with Him in Heaven

Second, to agape others is to

-respect them
-love them
-support them
-have compassion for them
-help them
-care for them
-pray for them
-be patient towards them
-forgive them
-desire their good
-wish them well
-encourage them
-teach them
-honor them
-understand them
-build them up
-acknowledge them
-be interested in them
-be kind to them
-be considerate towards them
-listen to them
-share with them
-mourn with them
-rejoice with them
-sympathize and empathize with them
-preach God's Word to them
-share the Good News of the Gospel to them
-make disciples of them
-look forward to spend eternity with them in Heaven
