Matthew
18 principle has been carefully followed to reach to the level of the
church and the person is persistently unrepentant. What to do now?
Matthew 18:17 tells us to let him/her be like an unbeliever to us.
Based
upon the Word of God in 2 Thessalonians 3, we are to keep away from
them (V 6). We take note of such people but do not associate with them,
so that they may be ashamed (V 14). Yet, we must not treat them as
enemies, but we are to warn them as brethren (V 15).
Is this practicing
God's love? Yes, it is actually practicing agape love because God kind
of love does not delight in iniquity/unrighteousness but rejoices in the
truth (1 Cor 13:6).
